I just got a call from this number claiming that it was from the IRS filing a lawsuit against me and that a warrant was being issued for my arrest. The recording said that I was to call this number 302-549-9900 and that an IRS agent was waiting for my call. I called the number and was informed by Verizon(that my cell phone carrier) that it was a non-working number. That number and the people doing this are full of crap. First if the IRS needs to get in touch with you they will not do it by phone or email. They will send a certified letter to your house. This is a scam plain and simple. They know that it is tax season and people are getting their refunds.

Okay this is an update to my previous comment. I called this number 302-549-9900 back and this guy answered. I played dumb like I was very worried about the call I had received. He asked for my name and zip code. I gave it to him and he then said he had to pull up my file. So he put me on hold like he was looking up my file. When he came back on the line he said that he had to inform me that this was a 3 way call with homeland security and that I would get into trouble if I interrupted him while he explained why I was called. So I said okay and he began. He said that the IRS had done a random audit on me and determined that when I filed my taxes that I had lied. He said that their investigation determined that I owned $5,000 and that yes a warrant would be issued it I did not pay that about right now. I then told him that I had heard enough and that I knew he was full of shit. I told him that I worked for the government, I have a uncle that is an FBI agent and a uncle that is a deputy U.S. marshal. I then told him that I knew that the IRS never calls or emails someone to tell them they owned them money. I told him that the IRS will only send you a certified letter that you have to go to the post office and sign for if they need to contact you. He then asked if I was sure about that and I said YES. I told him I knew he was lying and that this was nothing but a scam. He then hung up. I waited about 30 minutes and called back and talked to the same guy. He asked if I had called before or if that was my first time. I told him I called before and the guy hung up on my because I told he was a liar and this was a scam. He asked why I called back and I told him that I called back to let him know that I had reported them. He then said that the police were going to come to my home. I told him okay that fine, I was home, and that I would leave both doors unlocked for them. I said tell them to come on. He then said I was going to get fucked and I said that no he was the one that was going to get fucked. He then hung up on me lol. The people calling from this number are scammers. Go on the IRS page and report this number.
