This number is a scam to access your computer, load malware and steal information. Hang up and NEVER allow anyone from this number to access your computer.

I got a call from Unknown per caller ID. The caller identified herself as Gigi and said that my computer was reporting that it was being attacked and compromised. She provided a License Key so I could identify the problem computer and claimed that the problem was on a Windows 10 computer. She really wanted to help me "Identify the computer with the problem" I scheduled a call for the next day to follow-up and give me research time. The company name given was PC Solutions. I pointed out that calling from an Unknown number didn't help to inspire confidence I those receiving the calls. She said that it was because they were calling via Voice over IP (VoIP). I informed her that I have significant experience with that form of making and receiving calls and the caller ID had never been a problem even if it was only the phone number calling (which can be faked). If, as she said, the calls were coming from a centralized location then that number should have been provided along with a valid name.

I got a call today from Andrew who said he was from Geek Squad and that my computer was being compromised. He gave me the files to look up to see that these programs would indeed compromise your computer and said he would access my computer, diagnose it, and repair it. I would not allow that and called Geek Squad. They said they will never call you about this type of thing even though you have purchased a security program from them. Bottom line is the newest scammers are out. Be careful.

Thank you for the information. I'm glad I looked up the number and saw all these comments. I got a call from an unknown number saying they were from PC Solutions. He wanted me to go to my computer to fix a problem with my Windows. I detected it was a scam, and said I would call him back when I had the computer in front of me and asked for his number. It took a while for him to give it to me. He finally gave me this number 516-210-0398. The guy had a strong hindi accent. His name is Kenny.

Same as the others. I received a call from Ben at PC Solutions stating my computer running Windows had been compromised. He gave me this call back number because I wasn't at home when he called and said he would give me a License Key I could use to identify the computer. I'm glad I checked and others have posted comments. I obviously won't be calling Ben back...

Someone named Jason called my 93 year old dad and tried to get him to pay him to fix his "disastrously compromised and infected" computer. He walked him through files on his computer showing him everything that was corrupted. Luckily a neighbor of his was there and wouldn't let him pay the guy. Then I found this EXTREMELY helpful page and sent it to him so he understood that it was a scam.

I played stupid till I could get on line regarding this company. They tried to tell me a supervisor was on the line and I had a Trojen virus in my email. I asked them what computer and they rattled off #'s. Don't fall for this scam. The minute I confronted them about all the above emails they hung up! How stupid do they think we are! I played it off that I was a 70 year old women and they went crazy telling me they had to get into my computer now..... LOL

Got a call from Andrea today from 773-887-9224. She said she was with PC Solutions and my computer had been compromised. I asked her which one, she could not tell. She just gave me a long license number and wanted me to verify by holding down Windows Key and pressing R. I played along for a while and asked for a call back number. She kept insisting I press the windows key and R. I told her I would call back and she gave me 516-210-0398. I redialed the number she called on with a message that that number was not in service. DO THEY THINK EVERYONE IS SO STUPID!!

I had a very creepy guy call me with no caller ID and keep telling me that I had such a beautiful voice and my words sounded like an angel speaking. he also told me I had a beautiful smile and was very beautiful. I have no idea how he would know what I look like since I denied him any information about my computer. he asked me to press the Windows key and r at the same time and I just told him I did it and that nothing popped up. I asked to speak to his manager and they told me to call back this number later if I ever "want to talk" creepy.......

Some man named Sean with a thick Indian accent called from an unknown number today, saying he worked for PC Solutions, and our Microsoft account was compromised. He wanted to remote into our computer to fix it. We asked where he was calling from and he rambled incoherently. We said we couldn't understand him, and he said, "Okay, I will start over." He then repeated, but this time said he worked for "Geek Squad." Again, wanted to remote in. He said he was calling from Connecticut. We asked for a number to reach him back, he provided the one above. My husband said there was no need for anyone to call us from Connecticut about our computer. He told us our Windows system was infected. We asked him which version? He said, "Whichever version you are using, usually the most popular." We laughed. He again asked to remote in. My husband told him that he wasn't going to tell him anything about us, our computer, or allow him to remote in. He said, "Thank you very much," and hung up. When you call, an automated recording comes on without identifying the company. Someone foreign does answer. We asked to speak to Sean, saying that Sean said we could call him back. The foreign man says, "I need to check. Are you on the other line with Sean?" No. "Well, I need to check with Sean, give me a moment, and placed us on hold." Someone comes on the phone with a higher voice saying he is Sean. I said, "This is not Sean." "Oh, you're looking for Sean Tomlin." Then the same person from before came on the line, "Let me patch into your computer." No, what does this entail? "We need to fix your windows operation system." How can I ensure this is safe? "I'll patch you through to my supervisor." "Another foreign person comes through, named Logan. Same thing, need to fix Windows operating system. "How do you know we even have a computer?" We are calling because you use Windows operating system, ma'am. I just hung up. But this is clearly a scam. Beware.

He said I’m calling you from Windows tech support with the Geek Squad“, with a heavy asian accent, “Our servers have detected viruses on your PC. Are you aware of this?“.He proceeded to tell me that my computer was reporting viruses to their servers, and he needed me to verify my consumer license ID to make sure that it is really my PC with the viruses. Her asked if I was I infront of my computer. I told him no and I would have to call him back. He said okay and told me his name was David Miller. I wanted time to research.

I received a call from a "restricted" number today. The gentleman on the other line had a very thick accent which made the conversation difficult. He kept insisting that my computer was compromised, downloading significant data etc. He stated that this came from my Gmail account. I informed him that I was not available to do anything with my computer at the moment and requested a phone number to return the call at a better time. I was provided with the 516-210-0398 and the name of the company PC Solutions. Thank goodness I looked it up as this all appeared to be a scam but thought I would post that they have moved on from Geek Squad and Windows to gmail.

Same thing here. PC Solutions wanting me to give them access to my computer to fix a virus. Sandra also had a very strong Indian accent. I called the number back playing the part. They answered as Geek Services instead of PC Solutions. I asked for a physical location for their company and she told me Enfield, CT. I asked for a street address and we were mysteriously cut off before she could provide the street address.
